Mercury Enters its Pre-Shadow in Cancer/Venus in Leo/New Moon in Gemini/Venus Sextile Uranus/Venus Trine Neptune/Venus Opposite Pluto

Venus in Leo is known for being dramatic in love, yet passionate and fierce, incredibly loyal, and giving their all forever, like an eternal flame (being Fixed Fire).

To start off this astrology update blog, Mercury, the planet of Communication, Short Distance Travel, Sales/Commerce, Signing of Contracts, Technology such as Phones, Computers, WiFi, Social media, AI platforms, and also Medical professions, (think Mercury/Hermes, and the god's caduceus, which was later adapted by the medical community as their symbol), entered its Pre-Shadow phase on Friday, June 12th at 8:54 PM ET at 16° Cancer. This means that the beginning of Mercury Retrograde's cycle has begun once again. The Pre-Shadow and Post-Shadow periods are just as important as the actual Retrograde and sometimes, can be even more important because the Big Retrograde-y things might happen during these times which you might not be expecting or prepared for. It's especially important to watch out for the days when Mercury is Stationing which are the days right before Mercury goes Retrograde and right after it goes Direct. This time around Mercury goes Retrograde at 26° Cancer at 1:36 PM ET (Remember, we also just had a major aspect of Venus Conjunct Jupiter on June 9th, 2026 at 25° Cancer) and it lasts until July, 23rd, 2026 back to 16° Cancer at 6:58 PM. Why is all of this important for my newcomers? Because the things that Mercury rules that I mentioned above are going to be highly affected during this time period, especially in regard to things Cancer is known for being associated with. So, since the Medical Professions already have to do with Caretaking, that one is going to take a double hit, for example. Cancer is associated with Emotions, Mothers, Motherhood, Family, Home, Homeland, Real Estate, Antiques, Ancestry, Your Roots, Where You Come From, Patriotism, Restaurants, and Bathrooms...just to name a few. Now, to put it all together, when Mercury is Retrograde, the planet appears to be moving backward in the sky, similar to when you pass a slower car on the highway and it appears to be moving backward. So, Mercury Retrograde causes issues with the things it tends to bring Miscommunications, Technology glitches, Car trouble/Travel delays, WiFi/internet tends to go on the fritz, Phones/Computers crash or break, etc. Always double check texts or emails before sending! This is NOT the time to sign contracts if you can help it and if you HAVE to sign, READ THEM THOROUGHLY or get a lawyer to help with any of the small print/fine tooth comb stuff! Anything related to the Cancerian stuff above will be connected to all of this, so take it as it applies. Patriotism will skyrocket, as if that already wasn't an issue with multiple wars going on throughout the world and here in the US. Bathroom Bills may be passed or be introduced in other states. Reproductive Rights may be taken even farther to the point of delusional craziness with mothers not even having their own rights like it already is in certain states in the US to the point that they are only gestational carriers and more states may follow suit. There could be an even bigger push toward the straight, white, nuclear family and literally forcing that upon the citizens of this country, especially with more propaganda. Also, for the general public, be prepared for general Miscommunications with people around you, especially Family and people who are connected to your Roots (Extended Family, Race, Ethnicity, Ancestry). There may be a lot of division at this time and it may be that this is instigated by others on purpose. The World Cup may be related since that is going on right now and certain ethnicities/nationalities of ICE agents have been seen wearing certain Latin American jerseys while beating, arresting and deporting the same nationalities/ethnicities of people from the US. They are trying to sow the seeds of division among us. Don't fall for it, not everyone who is skin folk is against you, but remember, not all skin folk are kin folk (for the other BIPOC people reading this, especially Latin American Indigenous/Latin American ones) which this whole ICE agent wearing Latin American jerseys just proves.

Moving on, yesterday, on June 13th at 6:47 AM ET, Venus (the planet of Love, Relationships, Finances, Values, Beauty, & Talent) moved into Leo!! Leo is known for the Theater, Arts, Crafts, Singing, Children, Creativity, Dance, Pleasure, Romance, Sex and Royalty. Venus in Leo is fiercely loyal, passionate, a bit dramatic in love, but that's because they give everything and that includes their whole heart forever, so they aren't ones to be trifled with because their love is like an eternal flame, forever burning (Fixed Fire). They will forgive a few times, but once you betray them, they are done with you forever. Mess with a Venus in Leo and see where that leaves you, because this is one sign that definitely know its own worth. Some signs might see Venus in Leo's love style as more of a Blow Torch (Fixed Fire), but that's more likely to be your Avoidant signs/types that can't handle their intensity and to each their own. Venus in Leo can be Prideful and Stubborn, and like a Lion, but if you want someone who will give you everything and worship you as you worship them back, it depends on what you are willing to trade for it. So, this Venus in Leo Season, that means BRING THE PASSION! Go shopping for the flashy outfits and jewelry! Dress to be SEEN! Go out to a concert or museum! Kiss under the Moon! Love like Gomez and Morticia! Break out the kink gear (with full consent, of course!) Also, while the Sun is still in Gemini until Sunday, June 21st, 2026 at 4:24 AM ET, you never know what excitement you are in store for because Gemini always brings the fun and spontaneity! A winning combination, most assuredly!

Next on the list, we have the New Moon at 24° Gemini as I am typing this at 10:54 PM ET on Sunday, June 14th, 2026. The New Moon in Gemini is unaspected, except to itself. Speaking of the passionate Venus in Leo having just changed signs, we are getting a double dose of passion and intensity this New Moon with Venus at 1° Leo opposite Pluto at 5° Aquarius. This will cause Intensity, Obsession, possible Power and Control issues, Sexual Desire, Violence, Domination and Transformation, obviously regarding Love, Relationships, Finances, Values, and Talents, but also add to the mix Jupiter at 26° Cancer being Conjunct Venus at 1° Leo, and we know that Jupiter amplifies, grows, and expands everything it touches. I also want to add, that we have the asteroid Sappho in Cancer right in the middle of those two at 29°, so Sapphics, this one's for you (whether you want it or not). All of this opposing Pluto, the Destroyer. Pluto is Juno (Hera) who in Roman mythology was Jupiter's (Zeus in Greek) wife and partner. In astrology, we look to Juno to see what we look for in a partner and where we demand fairness, equality, and respect. So, I see a whole lot of Power plays, Intensity, Obsession, Violence, Destruction, Control, Sexual Desires, Transformation, and Domination around what someone sees as their ideal partner opposing the idea of Love, Relationships, Finances, Beauty, Values and Talent, and it having to do with Sapphic relations and Jupiter just amplifying all of that. This doesn't necessarily have to be just for the Sapphics, but I would say that it would affect a lot of Sapphics out there since Sappho, the asteroid is right in between Venus and Jupiter. Then, we have Venus at 1° Leo and Jupiter at 26° Cancer Trining Neptune at 4° Aries which could bring a bit of fog to the whole situation as Neptune causes Fog, Illusions, Delusions, Lies, Film, Addiction, Substances, Dreams, Imagination, and because Neptune is the higher octave of Venus and it is a Trine, it could bring a big more Romance to the situation, but with the first aspect being a Hard Opposition, be vigiliant and watch out, because it may not be what it first appears. We then have Uranus at 2° Gemini Sextiling Venus at 1° Leo/29° Sappho/26° Jupiter while also Trining Pluto at 5° Aquarius/Juno at 10° Aquarius. I would say that this could bring some fun and exciting times with love, relationships, and sex/kink, (always ask for consent!) as long as everyone is on board and the control issues and everything I mentioned before from the Hard Opposition don't become an issue. Last, but not least, for the New Moon, we have Psyche and Mercury within a 2" Conjunction at 18° Cancer which roughly put is the Soul Mate asteroid and the planet of Communication (and everything I listed above). They are close enough to be considered loosely Conjunct Jupiter as well. Psyche and Mercury at 18° Cancer are Sextile Mars at 20° Taurus. Psyche is the asteroid that recognizes the other part of you in another person. Psyche was the partner of Eros/Cupid. Psyche and Eros story is the classical love mythology. Psyche is considered the "Soul" while Eros is considered "Desire". Psyche in Cancer (Emotional Sensitivity, Empathy, Belonging, Intution) coupled with the planet of Communication, Short Distance Travel, Sales/Commerce, Technoology, WiFi, etc.) Sextile Mars (planet of War, Anger, Drive, Aggression, Sex, Energy, Stamina) in Taurus (Luxury, Sensuality, Food, Banks, Rings, Beauty, and Singers) could provide for a very interesting mix of possibilities. I could foresee some telepathic/intuitive communication between lovers that could be of the sexy sorts. That could be one example.

Tomorrow, Monday, June 15th, 2026, at 6:36 PM ET Venus in Leo will be Sextile Uranus 2° Gemini Exactly. This could be a really spontaneous and exciting day for romance and money and I would take advantage of this situation if I were you!

Tuesday, June 16th, 2026, Moon in Cancer Conjunct Mercury in Cancer at 4:12 PM ET until Moon enters Leo on Wednesday, June 17th at 8:05 AM ET. Great opportunity period for beginning something new with fresh emotions after the New Moon. Also on Tuesday, Venus in Leo Trine Neptune in Aries goes Exact at 11:41 PM ET. Again, this could have the power of causing confusion and fog to a Love, Relationship, Finances, Values, or Talent situation like I mentioned during the New Moon or it could be Neptune at the Higher Octave of Venus as intensify Romance and feelings of Dreaminess around a Love situation, but beware. Things aren't always what they seem as this tends to make us want to put people on a pedestal and then, later things aren't what we thought at first.

Wednesday, June 17th, 2026, Moon enters Leo at 8:05 AM ET. Moon in Leo Opposite Pluto 5° Aquarius at 4:29 PM. Also, Venus in Leo is Exactly Opposite Pluto at 5° Aquarius at 4:38 PM ET. Expect the Intensity, Domination, Violence, Destruction, Power, Control, Obsession, Sexual Desires/Control, and Transformation of Love, Relationships, Finances, Values, Beauty and Talent to be at an ALL TIME HIGH. I would just like to say, everyone do your best to be on guard, please. Travel in groups. Be safe!
