Venus Goes Retrograde Today, March 1st, 2025!

Venus, the planet of who you love, how you love and what you love, goes into Retrograde motion today at 7:36 PM EDT. Retrograde means that the planet appears to be moving backward in the sky, so that gives it a sort of "backward" energy during this period. Venus is the planet that rules love, finances, beauty, the women in your life, diplomacy, equality, and all one-on-one relationships. This period of time may give these issues a more disjointed feel. This is a time to reassess these things, but NOT act on any of them. It is not advised to start any new relationships or get married during this time, to make any serious financial decisions or major purchases during this time, or to change your style or make a major beauty enhancement. Relationships from the past may come back during this time period (whether friends or lovers) which may or may not be a good thing. The major thing is not to ACT on it during this time, but to simply reappraise and rethink. Save any action for AFTER Venus goes Direct on April 12th, 2025. It's also important to note that Venus is in the sign of Aries, which is ruled by the God of War, which is in major contrast to Venus, which is the Goddess of Love. Aries is impatient and passionate and will WANT to act rashly and without thinking, but you will need to have extra patience! Venus is also in its Detriment in Aries which means this is not the best place for it and so it can be hard for people to express their love in a sign that is known for being more on the individualistic and me-first side. Aries can be known for temper tantrums and explosive bouts of emotion, so with it being Retrograde, this may expound on that nature. So, you can probably expect some fights within your one-on-one relationships, especially the love relationships. Some relationships may end at this time, but if they do, they were meant to end, and you should understand that you were meant to let go. You may find yourself finally standing up for yourself and your needs. Some of the good qualities of Venus in Aries are its trailblazing spirit, its passionate nature, and its take charge attitude when wanting to plan adventures for a lover. Life is certainly never boring while Venus is in Aries or with Venus in Aries natives. Venus will move back into the sign of Pisces on March 27th, 2025. This is where Venus is in its Exaltation. This is Venus' happy place. Venus in Pisces is serene, calm, loving, tender, affectionate, full of dreams, and creative. It is intuitive and seems to sense what those around you are feeling without words. It brings heighted sensitivity, compassion, and a deeper need for connections. Once Venus enters this position, it will have a much easier go of the Retrograde cycle than when in Aries. Venus will continue its Retrograde motion in Pisces until April 12th, where it will turn Direct again at 9:02 PM EDT.
